Raise your hand if you love washi tape! Washi tape ornaments are a fun way to bring color, pattern and variety to your tree.
Gather your supplies:
*Box of clear ornaments
*Package of washi tape
*Optional- package of glistening snow to put inside
I bought all my stuff from Michael’s, on sale and with a coupon of course 😉
I came across a Christmas pack with variations of teal and blue, which fits into my color scheme perfectly. In the cart it went, next to the package of ornaments.
First, I wanted something inside each ornament, so I poured the snow inside. I actually liked to hollowness of them but ultimately decided to give the eye a little more to look at.
Next, layout those rolls of tape. i like to have a clear visual on all my resources 🙂 Depending on how many roles you have- there can be many color and design combinations.
My daughter and I made these together which was fun really fun because we inspired each other to create new patterns and color combos.
I did choose to wrap the washi tape slightly overlapping itself to ensure it wouldn’t un-peel.
I like the idea of making each one unique, but another option would be to make a uniform set. You could even make a package and give them away as a gift!
