Display sentimental family photos in a pie tin.
As the holidays are quickly approaching, it makes me think of family more than ever. I’ve always had a special relationship with my grandparents in particular. I was blessed to have created so many memories with them that I will truly treasure!
Recently I was given this photo of my grandmother cooking in the kitchen and I fell in love with it. It’s black and white, which makes it cool (wink). But most of all, it captures the joy and beautiful spirit that she was filled with.
Since the kitchen was a special place for us to spend time together, baking cookies, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to display this photo.
We’ve all seen lovely frames, but this is a kitchen… so let’s cook up something creative!
I’ve used a pie tin as a picture frame. I found this one at Target and really liked the fall color theme. It would also be neat to use actually metal/aluminum pie tins. Maybe gather 3 together and display a different photo in each one.
What a great idea. Featuring when my link party opens tonight!
Love this idea and I love your owls, of course, because I am 3winks! Thanks for sharing this.
Oh I’m smitten on them too- thanks 🙂
That is adorable! I see those at the thrift stores often and figured I’d never bake with them, but this is a great idea! 🙂 Pinning it to try. #HomeMattersParty

AAAH! You just have me another reason to go to Target this weekend. LOL I am going to make one of these, the pie tins are so cute with the fluted edges. #HomeMattersParty
I know, that’s exactly what I thought. Perfect edges for a nice border!
This looks so unique, Crystal. Such a lovely idea. #HomeMattersParty
